True, Dangermouse. What I meant was one would expect to see a little more of him during 3 hours ceremony, but at least the picture is new and as you said, he is smiling, which you don`t see everyday, so that should count for something.

I know those pictures can`t top previous ones, but at least they are the most recent - from today`s mass on the third anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II.

I recorded today`s funeral mass for Card. Trujillo, hoping to make some screencaps of Piero, but haven`t got anything useful out of it. In those pictures Piero was 53 years ... one can see a younger and cute face , but in my opinion he hasn't changed very much. I love the one where he has his eyes closed. It's very spiritual.

I found this forum accidentally and I'm very happy and surprised.

Actually I live in Passau/Bavaria. I don's know much about Piero Marini, but he often attracted my attention, when I watched papal masses. But in refer to one of your's further postings, I knew Cardinal Schönborn personally. He's a very nice man.

So again thank's for those wonderful pic's and also for the other's of a "younger piero". Great to watch them.

Honestly ? I am speechless......

Our Piero is in Mexico at the moment, as a papal legate to the IV. National Eucharistic Congress, which takes place in Morelia. At its conclusion he will preside a mass today at 11.00 local time (so 18.00 for most of the forum members here). Too bad we don`t have any Mexican members that could record the ceremony.

So far I was only able to find these 3 pictures. Let us hope for some more in the next few days.
