| Wow, great pictures! Thank you very much Ada & Admin. For those of you who maybe haven`t noticed – the Committee website (http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pont_committees/eucharist-congr/index.htm) has finally changed: President: H.E. Msgr. Piero MARINI 00120 Città del Vaticano (Palazzo San Calisto) Tel. : (0039) 06.698.87366; Fax: (0039) 06.698.7154 E-mail: eucharistcongress@org.vaFax nr. is obviously wrong, because it lacks one number; I think there has to be an 8 before the last 4 digits……………….but contrary to liturgy office, this one has an e-mail address. Of course it is the address of the secretary, so more personal messages are out of the question , but at least there is also this option of communication. | |

| Hello Folks , I am still around ... not for too long though. The pictures are wonderful and beautiful ! Thanks a million to both of you. Thank you Vanadija, one more time you went ahead of me , I was just going to post that website. I think the phone and fax numbers maybe right. Sometimes is the other way around. The nuns of the Residence Paolo VI on Viale Vaticano where I stayed this past June, also have something like that. In their case their fax # has 8 digits and the phone # only 7 and both are right. It's confusing , is itn't ? | |

| Thanks for the explanations! First to you, Letizia. Yes, it looked very strange and rather confusing. Ok, so, until this confusion is cleared, I think I`d better only use phone and e-mail. And also to you, Admin. It did sound scary at first. I hope Letizia will have a safe journey home and will soon resume her post as a very productive member of this forum. And btw. - very nice picture! | |

Better not to use that LOL emoticon, again I am glad , you clarified the mistake with the fax # Everything over here is fine and accord to the schedules. In a few more days , God willing , I'll be on your side of the pond . Those pictures are great , thank you .

| Thanks folks, those screencaps are great ! I'd love some coffee,of course. The tomato's salad looks delicious , just the way I like it with a lot of olive oil . Just perfect . Oh yes, I'd love the ring, or at least to kiss it. | |

| Thank you for that link, Admin. Significant changes indeed. I also found an interesting excerpt from Rocco Palmo`s blog: “Speaking of MC Marinis, with his successor now firmly in place, the former papal ceremoniere Archbishop Piero Marini is primed to spread his wings on his own in the weeks to come, with the English translation of his treatise on the liturgical reform set for a mid-December presentation in London. Some might still view its author as a commoner, but the book's release is being held at the House of Lords. No joke.” | |

| Oh Yeah... so many "significant" changes that I was very lost.... I find it sad... I've seen all these before , nothing new ... as far as I am concerned. Those people are going to get a big surprise. Thank you for the links and pictures especially the one of Archbishop Marini !! How nice to see him. | |

haven't seen that mass with that new Marini and I seriously don't care either for now but I'm certain it was not the same thing. Good seeing Piero was there though.

| The answer to both of your questions is - yes. He left home at the age of 11, poor boy, in order to get his education. At that time Valverde only had 4 years of primary school and if you wanted to continue studying, you needed to go to Bologna, Milan or other bigger city. That of course meant you had to stay by relatives in the city or in a boarding school of a sort. With the lack of relatives and the money, the only solution his parents could think of, was sending him to the seminary, which at the same time also offered the best education. Nevertheless, I`m convinced this was a hard decision for everybody. Regarding the book: it is the right one, but according to Amazon, it is not available yet. Of course you can order it already, but the official release date is 15th November. http://www.amazon.com/Challenging-Reform-Realizing-Liturgical-Renewal/dp/0814630359/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-5029632-3505407?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1194532839&sr=8-1In any case, we won`t have to wait much longer. | |
