I`m very glad you found us. Things are much more quiet around here than I would like them to be, so it would be great if you can give this forum that extra spark it so desperately needs. If that huge “responsibility” I so selfishly put on your shoulders didn`t scare you off completely (I do hope not!), perhaps you can start by telling us how long have you been an admirer of Piero`s and how did it all began.

Btw: I used to think that the vast majority of Piero`s fans live in Poland, but now it looks like Germans are in the strong lead here. Great!

...how it all began...
I saw him the first time in Cologne in 1987 next to JPII (of course), and I thought..
" uuuuhhhh ... hello hello hello ....who is that good looking guy?"
2 years later a big "Break" came through my religion life (Free Church with protestant background) .
In 2005 must be January or February when JP was very ill, I saw some
documentaries about the popes life etc. and they did make some interviews .
Of course also with Monsignore and I was shocked when I read that he became archbishop! What did I miss all these years!!!!!!
By the end of the interview (which was just a few seconds) he smiled
and I thought ..." Wow...he's still that good looking man from 1987!!!!

And so... the internet gave/give than a lot of information!!!!

Ups... it's late... I better go to bed. My boss won't be happy to see me with
little small eyes !!!

At least you found out about Piero in a good way. I learned the hard way... by accidentally reading Fr. Z's blogs (just ignore his blogs if you ever come across them). I ended up wondering why a priest was ranting about an archbishop (I wasn't even aware of who Piero was and I had never even heard of him at that time). Then I decided to do a little search on Piero and found out who he was and all the work he's been doing for the Pope and the Church, and I began to admire him.

All I can say is that Piero definitely deserves a Cardinal's hat. I don't know what's up with Benedict not elevating him. He elevated Archbishop Dziwisz to a Cardinal. Why can't he elevate Piero and Archbishop Harvey?

Your English is good. Don't worry about it. I feel the same way, except I'm trying my best to talk and write in Tagalog (Filipino standard language). My friends and the locals here keep laughing at me because I'm just literally butchering the language. Very embarrassing!
