Well, actually, it's already New Year's in my part of the world, the Philippines. What time is it in your part of the world?

Here, it's abut 9 in the evening and I'm just watching the fireworks. Filipinos tend to celebrate New Year's early, by the time night falls, and then they start launching all the fireworks. New Year's celebrations here start about 9 and end at 4 in the morning. New Year's Eve is called "Noche Buena", also Christmas Eve. Tagalog, the Filipino language, is based off of Spanish and Chinese.

And I must say, to me, 2008 seemed like a bleak year. I wasn't too pleased with 2008, although the only positive thing (for me) was the election of President Obama.

According to Vanadija, Archbishop Marini and Archbishop Boccardo are great friends and hang out together on their spare time.

That explains why they're always sitting next to each other at Mass or other celebrations. (I was wondering why they always seem to be sitting next to each other.)

We finally have some sort of news, even if they are bit old. Still, it's good to here from the Archbishop. He finally came out of the blue (sort of).

Sadly, the audio doesn't work that well on my laptop. I would like to hear him speaking in French.

Tomorrow, the 31st January, after the festivities to celebrate the 25 anniversary of the St. Cecilia choir of the Cathedral of Benevento that will start at 16.00, Archbishop Marini will preside a Mass there, according to this article: http://www.diocesidibenevento.it/news.php?codice=321

Incredible, I was just checking that page Vanadija, thinking maybe we are lucky and it will be a live transmission this evening ... then I got a message from vaticanart and it was your message giving us this news.
Right now they have news from previous days but just let's hope for this evening.
