| It's a document from 2006. The director of it is Jiri Skarvan. I think it was produced by Bayerischer Rundfunk, cos it's the only station that showed it. And the name of it is Der Mann hinter dem Papst. There are like 2 people who saw it, I'm afraid. He is my favourite He bumped in my head already when I was a child. There's something about him, I don't know... charm, grace? I was nicely surprised when I found how many people have the same opinion. Hope, they will find this forum and post something... | |

| I saw that documentary too and I'm from Romania so I actually had someone record it for me and send it to me! JP II and Piero Marini were the main reasons for which I developed a big interest in the Vatican. | |

| You thank me? I thank you for your beautiful words!!! Sadly I cannot upload here videos. But I will send a link. It will be like 5 seconds of Piero, but sure worth it. It is really sweet and funny.( I am going to solve few technical problems with digitizing a VHS.) Would be great if you or anybody can post some pictures from that document. E.g. Piero dressed in civil clothes | |

| Somewhere somebody mentioned that Piero is always so serious (always means during masses). Here's a proof, that if he could he wouldn't. It is from 1990. Quality is low because of youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmi8hOxAjmU | |

| Tomorrow I am leaving for Prague, I'm wondering if somebody will post here something while I am back. When I am back there should be waiting two dvd for me. Inside the Vatican and The keys of the Kingdom. I'll post then nice parts of it. For now just this one Look at those girls at the backside. In Rome it is forbidden to enter churches dressed like that. I don't understand why. For sure that bishop doesn't seem to have problems with it | |

| This is the official name: "The Vatican Television Center presents: The Vatican - Behind the scenes of the World's Smallest Kingdom (NTSC)" There are like 3 dvd with the same name. One is from National geographic, the other is from Discovery (you could buy it together with Da Vinci code) and what I bought should be from VTC. I hope so . They didn't have it anymore on the stock at Amazon, so I bought it from somebody on a Marketplace. This is how it should look like: the other one should be this: | |

| People on some blogs out there have been gossiping or talking about this for a long time and finally was official....
"Appointed Archbishop Piero Marini, master of Papal Liturgical Celebrations, as president of the Pontifical Committee for International Eucharistic Congresses"
Thanks be to God !! I pray and hope, he will be now left alone and have more ,well deserved, time to rest .
His last appearance will be on October 21 with the new MC , Mons. Guido Marini from Genoa. All the best to you Monsignor.
I admire our formal MC very much, so... I would like to repeat here a few words to dearest Archbishop Marini , which I already posted somewhere else.
I will miss you Maestro. For me you will remain as the Greatest Maestro of the Century, for ever. No matter where you go, my prayers, thoughts , love and admiration will follow you. For now to the Palazzo di San Callisto in the Trastevere, which will be brighten up with your presence.
Thank you very much for your incredibly beautiful and loving work and for the loyalty that you have shown and done in the Service of God and the Lord's Church. I know our beloved John Paul II looks at you from Heavens with great love.
Thank you for your kindness, warmnes, genuine love, humility and good sense of humor with those who had the good fortune to meet and talk to you.
I believe in you and in your ministry and I look forward to reading your up-coming book in November and many more. I wish you good health and success.
May our Lord in the Most Holy Eucharist guides you and bless you always , sweet prince of Piacenza ! |

| Hi everyone! I`m new here, I come from Slovenia and as a long term admirer of abp. Piero Marini I think I would fit right in. First of all I would like to thank Admin, who found me and invite me to this forum. And of course, thank you also for creating it, because it was about time someone does something like that. Too bad it is very hard to find or it would no doubt have a large membership, but perhaps a small but faithful community is actually a good thing . Leticia, I wish I had your writing gift. With your touching words you expressed the thoughts of many of us so beautifully. Although the news was not unexpected, I was deeply saddened when I read the bulletin on the 1.10.2007, mostly for a very selfish reason of not being able to see Piero as much as I did until now. But I guess his talents are needed in the Committee too, so I wish him luck and success in his new assignments, which I`m sure he will perform with the same passion and devotion. | |
