Great photos of Mons. Marini , our Piero !! Thank you Vanadija. I don't know what we would do without you. I must say I like the conclusion of the month of May of last year better , along the Vatican Garden but Mons. Marini was not there.

Very sentimental indeed, Texasros. In fact, the whole ceremony was like that and I really like those candles too. I`m glad you like the photos.

It isn't wonderful to see our Archbishop praying the Rosary with such a devotion ?

You have every right to be suspicious, Dangermouse. I`m not sure I`d recognize him in that picture if I find it accidentally either. But since it came from his book “Ceremoniaire des papes” I bought from Amazon, I can assure you it is “the real thing”.

Found more glimpses of him in: "Do This in Memory of Me"- documentary (on YouTube; quality isn't that clear but the camera does manage to focus on him.) Check out all 4 parts. "John Paul II speech against the Mafia in Agrigento" (also on YouTube- Holy Father was very angry. Our Piero looked somewhat frightened.) "John Paul II 'outtakes'" (YouTube- I like the teepee scene, kind of cute ) Sorry if these are a bit old. They're from the late 80's and 90's. Also found more of him in GettyImages. Under "pope john paul united states". Page 15. In one of the pics, he looks drenched and wet and cold (our poor archibishop http://www.gettyimages.com/Search/Search.aspx?contractUrl=1&language=en-US&family=images&p=pope%20john%20paul%20united%20states&src=quick#15
